Foil Installation – Easy DIY

How to install

Prepare the application fluid

500 ml tap water
5–6 drops of dish soap
Pour into a spray bottle

Installation process in eight steps

Clean the adhesive surface: Thoroughly remove all dirt and grease residues. Use the application fluid and a clean cloth for this purpose.

Release the film from the liner: Fold the white liner paper just before the film and carefully roll it back. This allows the film to be easily released without damaging the edges.

Peel off the film: While peeling, generously spray both sides of the film with the application fluid.

Wet the adhesive surface: Also generously spray the vehicle surface.

Position: Place the film on the wetted surface. The fluid allows it to be precisely aligned. Then let it dry for about 15 minutes until it no longer slips.
Note: Decorative films – unlike full wraps – are not wrapped around sheet metal edges. Maintain an even distance of approx. 4 mm from all edges.

Wet the film: Lightly spray the film again with application fluid to prevent scratches.

Squeegee: Use a soft plastic squeegee to evenly push the liquid from the inside out. If the film still shifts, let it dry further and squeegee again.

Drying: Now let the film dry for three days. Do not wash the vehicle during this time.
